Elevating the problem, Gandhi requested whether or not the Residence Ministry had been tasked with coordinating the profession development of Agniveers after their time period ends and sought the rationale for assigning the duty to MHA “as an alternative of the Ministry of Defence, provided that Agniveers serve within the armed forces”.
He additionally requested whether or not the federal government had assessed “the potential overlap or coordination challenges between the Ministry of Residence Affairs and the Ministry of Defence in managing the transition and profession development of ex-Agniveers”.
Replying to the query, Minister of State for Residence Nityanand Rai mentioned that as per the Cupboard Secretariat notification, the topic ‘Coordinating actions for additional progress of Ex-Agniveers’ has been allotted to MHA.
“A devoted ex-Agniveer wing and an ex-Agniveer cell underneath the Ministry of Residence Affairs have been created for easy coordination, monitoring and formulation of rehabilitation insurance policies for ex-Agniveers,” he added.
