The Kerala Excessive Courtroom (HC) has directed the Chief Vigilance and Safety Officer of the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) to conduct a probe into alleged suspicious fund transfers by workers employed at Sabarimala throughout the 2025–26 Mandalam-Makaravilakku season.

A Division Bench comprising Justice Raja Vijayaraghavan V. and Justice Okay.V. Jayakumar issued the route on Thursday (February 12, 2026) whereas contemplating a suo motu plea primarily based on a report filed by the Sabarimala Particular Commissioner concerning alleged monetary irregularities by informal labourers and everlasting workers posted on the temple. The chief officer had reportedly obtained confidential info on this regard, following which the vigilance officer carried out a discreet inquiry. Monetary information referring to deposits made out of November 17 onwards had been collected from put up workplaces and banks as a part of the inquiry.

It was discovered that two workers had remitted over ₹1 lakh every, whereas three others had transferred ₹25,000 every. The people involved subsequently failed to look for questioning.

Observing that the allegations had been critical, the court docket directed the Chief Vigilance and Safety Officer to acquire a database of all workers who had been on responsibility on the Sannidhanam throughout the related interval to facilitate a complete scrutiny and confirm the extent of any fraudulent exercise or suspicious fund transfers. A report is to be filed inside three weeks.
