The Punjab authorities plans to buy 108 new autos price Rs1.14 billion for ministers and bureaucrats this yr, Geo Information reported on Thursday.

The Transport Wing has submitted formal suggestions to the federal government for the procurement of the autos, and officers say the buying course of will start as soon as the proposals obtain remaining approval.

In response to the paperwork, 28 new autos price Rs300 million have been proposed for the Punjab cupboard. The proposed fleet consists of one Land Cruiser, two Haval 1.5 autos, 5 Toyota Grande Altis, 10 Toyota Altis and 10 Toyota Yaris. 

Along with these autos, two bulletproof four-by-four autos price Rs40 million might be bought for 2 ministers. Approval for the acquisition of those bulletproof autos has already been granted by the federal government.

Individually, suggestions for the acquisition of 25 autos price Rs270 million for VIP safety duties have already been authorized, indicating that preparations for security-related transport are being prioritised.

Autos price Rs530 million may even be procured for the Chief Minister’s Inspection Group to assist its operational and subject actions. 

The proposed fleet for the inspection group consists of 30 double-cabin pickup vehicles, 11 Toyota Yaris and three Toyota Altis autos. The group’s transport pool may even embrace Suzuki Cultus automobiles in addition to bikes to facilitate mobility and inspections in several areas.

Officers stated that after the suggestions obtain remaining clearance, the method of buying the autos might be initiated.
