Anime didn’t change after 9/11, but 9/11 changed how I watched anime.

Japan authorised ¥631.5 billion ($4 billion) in extra subsidies to quicken Rapidus’ entry into the high-stakes AI chipmaking area, ramping up help for a mission broadly considered an extended shot.

The capital is meant to bankroll Rapidus’ work for IT agency Fujitsu, one of many preliminary shoppers that Tokyo hopes will get the signature endeavor off the bottom.

The brand new cash raises the charges and investments that the federal government is injecting into the startup to ¥2.6 trillion ($16.3 billion) by the tip of the present fiscal 12 months to March 2027, in accordance with a press release from the Ministry of Economic system, Commerce and Business. An exterior committee inspected Rapidus’ foundry in Hokkaido and signed off on its technological progress, the ministry stated Saturday.
