The method of upgrading the 150-year-old Bogra Municipality to a metropolis company has been finalized. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will formally inaugurate the Bogura Metropolis Company on Monday.
Bogura Municipality was final expanded in 2006 in the course of the tenure of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, when 48 surrounding mouzas had been integrated, rising its space to 69.56 sq. kilometres.
