It has sought instructions to facilitate communication between the detainees and their households and in addition to make sure that the detainees obtain acceptable medical care, humanitarian remedy and authorized help, wherever required.

The plea has sought a route to the Centre to put on file an affidavit setting out the protocol, process and commonplace working mechanism adopted by the federal government in instances the place Indian residents are reported lacking, detained or stranded overseas.

It has additionally sought a route to the federal government to apprise the court docket of the steps already undertaken by authorities in relation to those detainees.

The plea has sought instructions to the states of Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh to provoke and strengthen investigation-and-enforcement mechanisms in opposition to unlawful recruitment brokers, who induce Indian residents to journey overseas below false pretences, working inside their jurisdictions.

It has urged that the states be directed to establish and prosecute these concerned in unlawful abroad recruitment, trafficking and exploitation of Indian residents.
