CM Maryam launches ‘Rehmat Card’ to support widows, orphans with Rs5 billion aid

LAHORE  –  Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the “CM Punjab Rehmat Card” programme, a first-of-its-kind initiative geared toward offering structured monetary help to widows and orphaned kids throughout the province.

The programme was digitally inaugurated by the chief minister, whereas Particular Assistant Rashid Iqbal Nasrullah knowledgeable {that a} document Rs5 billion has been allotted from the provincial Zakat Fund for the scheme.

Below the initiative, 50,000 widows and orphaned kids will obtain monetary help of Rs100,000 every. The programme is restricted to Shariah-eligible Muslim beneficiaries entitled to Zakat, excluding authorities staff, pensioners and Sahib-e-Nisab people.
