With the world’s consideration targeted on wars within the Center East and Ukraine, a serious geopolitical improvement in Europe has gone largely unnoticed: U.S. President Donald Trump’s determination to drag 5,000 troops out of Germany after it refused to help U.S. and Israeli assaults on Iran.
Whereas the transfer represents lower than 10% of the roughly 80,000 to 90,000 U.S. army personnel stationed in Europe, it quantities to a shot throughout the continent’s bow.
