President Asif Ali Zardari receives Prince Rahim Aga Khan V

President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday obtained Prince Rahim Aga Khan V upon his arrival at Nur Khan Airbase on an official go to to Pakistan, the place First Woman Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari accompanied the president.
 
That is Prince Rahim Aga Khan’s first go to to Pakistan since assuming management of the Shia Ismaili Muslim group because the fiftieth Imam following the passing of his father, His Late Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, in February 2025, a Presidency’s information launch stated.

President Asif Ali Zardari, First Woman Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, and Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman PPP, held a gathering with Prince Rahim Aga Khan V, adopted by delegation-level talks. The President additionally hosted a banquet in his honour, which was attended, amongst others, by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Mr Ishaq Dar, Area Marshal Syed Asim Munir COAS & CDF, Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Speaker Nationwide Meeting Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, federal ministers, members of parliament and members of the diplomatic group.
 
The President appreciated the Aga Khan Growth Community’s longstanding contributions to Pakistan in healthcare, schooling, group growth, local weather resilience, and heritage conservation. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to additional strengthening cooperation with AKDN for the welfare and growth of susceptible communities.
 
The President recalled the enduring affiliation of late Prince Karim Aga Khan IV with Pakistan and appreciated the historic contributions of the Aga Khan household to the nation.
 
Prince Rahim Aga Khan thanked the President for the nice and cozy welcome and reaffirmed AKDN’s continued dedication to supporting growth and humanitarian initiatives in Pakistan.
 
Prince Rahim’s final go to to Pakistan was in 2024, when the President conferred upon him the Nishan-e-Pakistan, the nation’s highest civilian award, in recognition of the Aga Khan household’s longstanding contributions to Pakistan.
 
Mr Sultan Ali Allana, Director Aga Khan Fund for Financial Growth & Head of Monetary Providers AKDN; Mr Shafik Sachedina, Head of Division of Jamati Establishments; Mr Nizar Noor Mohammed Mewawala, President Ismaili Council for Pakistan, and Mr Akbar Ladak, Vice President Ismaili Council for Pakistan, had been a part of the delegation.
 
Chairman PPP, and former International Minister, Mr Bilawal Bhutto Zardari; First Woman, Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari; Senator Sherry Rehman, Senator Saleem Mandviwala, Mr Naveed Qamar, MNA, Dr Asim Hussain, and International Secretary additionally attended the assembly.
