Peshawar  –  Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Friday confused the necessity to promote mediation as an efficient mechanism for resolving disputes, saying dialogue, tolerance and mutual respect had been the foundations of lasting peace and justice.

Addressing the closing ceremony of a two-day coaching workshop organised by the Worldwide Mediation and Arbitration Centre (IMAC) on the Nationwide Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), Peshawar, as chief visitor, the Governor stated the rising burden of litigation on courts highlighted the significance of Different Dispute Decision (ADR). He stated delays within the supply of justice adversely affected financial progress, investor confidence and social stability, including that fashionable mediation programs harmonised Pakistan’s conventional values with up to date authorized necessities.

Governor Kundi stated the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ADR Act 2020 supplied a robust authorized framework for different dispute decision and known as for strengthening mediation mechanisms, significantly in southern districts and the merged tribal areas.
