KARACHI: A cargo plane has gone lacking roughly 155 nautical miles west of Karachi after shedding contact, the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) stated in an announcement on late Tuesday.

The seek for the cargo plane has widened considerably, with the Pakistan Navy and Air Pressure now deploying extra ships and plane to the search zone, sources stated.

The Pakistan Navy has dispatched the warship PNS Zulfiqar to hitch the search and rescue effort, whereas a Pakistan Air Pressure Saab surveillance plane can be collaborating within the operation, in response to sources. A Navy ATR plane has flown out from Turbat to help, becoming a member of the broader search from the air.

PNS Hunain has additionally been dispatched to the affected space to participate within the search and rescue operation, sources stated.

The lacking plane is a 27-year-old Boeing 737 operated by a Pakistani cargo firm, stated aviation sources including that contact with the plane was misplaced at 9:32pm throughout its flight from Sharjah to Karachi.

In 2010, a Russian cargo plane carrying eight individuals crashed in a residential space of Karachi shortly after taking off from town’s airport.

The plane was heading to Khartoum in Sudan when it went down, killing all these on board.

The crash sparked fires in close by buildings and triggered a large-scale rescue operation. The plane misplaced contact with air visitors management minutes after departure, in response to officers on the time.
