Peshawar  –  Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has assured a delegation representing minority rights organizations of his full assist for the well timed processing of assent to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Hindu Marriage Act 2026, aimed toward safeguarding the authorized rights of the Hindu group within the province.

A high-level Nationwide Lobbying Delegation (NLD) for Minority Rights, led by Deputy Speaker of the Sindh Meeting Anthony Naveed, known as on the Governor on the Governor Home.

The delegation thanked the Governor for the unanimous passage of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Hindu Marriage Act 2026 by the provincial meeting and urged him to grant immediate assent to the invoice to facilitate its early implementation.

The delegation mentioned the laws would offer authorized recognition and safety to Hindu marriages within the province, guarantee obligatory marriage registration, safeguard the rights of girls and youngsters, and facilitate entry to authorized documentation, together with CNICs, inheritance and different official information by way of linkage with NADRA.

The delegation comprised Anthony Naveed, Haroon Sarab Diyal, Krishan Sharma, Pushpa Kumari, Romana Bashir, Atif Jamil Paggan and Jai Parkash Moorani.

Governor Faisal Kundi welcomed the delegation and acknowledged the significance of the laws in selling and defending the constitutional rights of spiritual minorities. He assured the delegation of his full cooperation for the well timed processing of the invoice and its efficient implementation.

Talking on the event, Anthony Naveed mentioned the passage of the laws mirrored the inclusive imaginative and prescient of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa authorities and urged early assent in order that Hindu residents may benefit from the authorized protections directly.

Haroon Sarab Diyal mentioned the Act would finish many years of authorized uncertainty surrounding Hindu marriages within the province and appreciated the position of the Governor, Chief Minister, speaker and members of the provincial meeting in supporting the laws. He mentioned the Nationwide Lobbying Delegation would proceed to work with the provincial authorities in framing guidelines and creating public consciousness to make sure the efficient implementation of the Act.
