
Tehran: Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Navy stopped six vessels trying to transit the Strait of Hormuz by routes not authorised by Iranian authorities, state tv reported on Monday.
“Final evening, six vessels that tried to transit by a route apart from the designated one have been stopped by the IRGC Navy with warning pictures and turned again,” a state tv correspondent reported from the Gulf.
Earlier state TV mentioned one vessel was concerned in an “incident”, with out elaborating.
On Saturday, the Guards mentioned they’d stopped 4 vessels trying to transit by the southern a part of the strait after firing warning pictures.
Iran has successfully blockaded the Strait of Hormuz for the reason that begin of the Center East battle in late February.
