The Islamabad Visitors Police have introduced a diversion plan for Independence Day celebrations on the Victory Monument within the federal capital’s H-8.

Based on the visitors plan, the entry of heavy autos into Islamabad will stay restricted from midnight on August 12 till midnight on August 14.

A number of roads and junctions can even be closed or diverted for gentle visitors through the occasion.

Visitors from Koral Chowk in the direction of Khayaban Chowk, together with each side of Expressway and Faisal Avenue, shall be closed. Motorists travelling from Rawat and Koral in the direction of Islamabad have been suggested to make use of different routes through Khanna Pul, Lehtrar Highway, Park Highway, Rawal Dam Chowk, Murree Highway, Serena Lodge, Soharwardi Highway and Jinnah Avenue.

Motorists travelling from Khayaban Chowk in the direction of Koral can use Jinnah Avenue, Ninth Avenue, Double Highway, Murree Highway, Rawal Highway and Outdated Airport Highway.

Visitors hyperlinks round Faizabad Interchange, Rawal Dam and Expressway can even face restrictions. 

As per the plan, motorists travelling between Rawalpindi and Islamabad have been suggested to make use of Ninth Avenue, Jinnah Avenue and Murree Highway through Rawal Dam Chowk, relying on their vacation spot.

Roads round Backyard Flyover, I-8, Faiz Ahmed Faiz Highway, Mir Chakar Highway, Judicial Academy and Mir Zafarullah Highway in the direction of the Victory Monument in H-8 will stay closed to visitors.

Residents of I-8 and H-8 have been suggested to make use of I-8 Markaz, Ninth Avenue and Jinnah Avenue for journey in the direction of Islamabad. These travelling in the direction of Rawalpindi can use Ninth Avenue, IJP Highway, Double Highway and Murree Highway.

Backyard Shakarparian can even stay closed in the direction of I-8 and Faisal Avenue. Motorists travelling in the direction of I-8 can use Seventh Avenue, Jinnah Avenue and Ninth Avenue as alternate options.

Visitors can even be restricted at Chand Tara T-Cross in the direction of Shakarparian, with motorists suggested to make use of Seventh Avenue or Murree Highway.

Each side of Peshawar Highway in the direction of Kuri Highway Chowk and Srinagar Freeway can even be closed. Motorists travelling from Islamabad Chowk through Srinagar Freeway have been suggested to make use of Peshawar Mor Flyover, Ninth Avenue, Jinnah Avenue and Margalla Highway.

These travelling from Murree and Bhara Kahu in the direction of Islamabad can use Murree Highway, Serena Lodge, Soharwardi Highway and Jinnah Avenue.

Motorists travelling from Bhara Kahu, Murree and Islamabad in the direction of Rawalpindi can use Rawal Dam Chowk, Park Highway, Captain Naeem Tufail Shaheed Chowk, Lehtrar Highway, Khanna and Expressway.

These travelling to Islamabad Worldwide Airport have been suggested to make use of Margalla Highway, Jinnah Avenue, Peshawar Mor Flyover, Srinagar Freeway and Iran Avenue.
