The Financial institution of Canada is happy to announce the recipient of its 2026 Regulation Enforcement Award of Excellence for Counterfeit Deterrence.
This award, which the Financial institution started presenting in 2004, acknowledges the excellent achievements of prison justice professionals and educators concerned within the prevention and deterrence of financial institution observe counterfeiting in Canada.
This 12 months’s recipient is Constable Michael Scott-Doornink of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), who has helped strengthen collaboration between regulation enforcement, the Financial institution of Canada, and private-sector companions throughout southern Ontario.
By coordinated outreach, coaching, intelligence evaluation and sharing, and thru his investigative efforts, Constable Scott-Doornink has proven an unwavering dedication to safeguarding the financial and monetary welfare of Canada.
Constable Scott-Doornink was honoured on the annual Canadian Affiliation of Chiefs of Police Summit, held in Edmonton on August 18, 2026.
