Former Minister Johnston Fernando has been arrested by the Fee to Examine Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) in reference to an ongoing investigation.
Fernando arrived at CIABOC at the moment (September 4) to offer an announcement earlier than being arrested.
The arrest is over allegations that an organization chosen by means of the correct process for a contract to provide chairs to the Polgolla Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium was eliminated and the contract was as a substitute awarded to an affiliate, inflicting a lack of Rs. 7.4 million.
