SEOUL, Sept. 19 (Yonhap) — President Lee Jae Myung on Saturday voiced help for the South Korean group because the twentieth version of the Asian Video games opened with a ceremony in Nagoya, Japan.
The Aichi-Nagoya Asian Video games, the continent’s largest sporting occasion, kicked off a 16-day run by Oct. 4, with athletes from 45 taking part nations competing for 469 gold medals in 43 sports activities and 71 disciplines.
“I cheer on the South Korean group of their spirited problem,” Lee wrote on his X account. “Athletes, now you start. Present absolutely what you might be able to, trusting within the sweat and arduous work you may have put in to put on the nationwide flag in your chest.”
The president mentioned all Koreans will cheer for the nationwide group, encouraging the athletes to return residence with out accidents.
“Together with the general public, I’ll cheer for the 1,052-strong South Korean group,” he mentioned.
