China and Sri Lanka have signed an settlement to implement a Chinese language-funded challenge to reconstruct a number of bridges destroyed by Cyclone Ditwah.
The settlement was signed yesterday (Sep. 28) on the Ministry of Transport, Highways and City Growth in Colombo, within the presence of Chinese language Ambassador to Sri Lanka Wei Huaxiang and Secretary to the Ministry of Transport Asiri Karunawardana.
In keeping with a Fb publish by the Chinese language embassy in Colombo, 09 bridges are to be constructed underneath Chinese language help.
The publish states : “In the present day, the Implementation Settlement On China Help Emergency Put up-Catastrophe Reconstruction in Sri Lanka was efficiently signed! With China’s help, 9 bridges can be rebuilt. This displays China’s robust dedication to Sri Lanka’s post-disaster reconstruction and infrastructure growth, embodies the deep friendship between the Chinese language and Sri Lankan peoples, and carries ahead the spirit of the Rubber-Rice Pact.Ambassador Wei Huaxiang, Counsellor Tang Yandi, Dr. Karunawadena, Secretary of Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Transport, Highways and City Growth of Sri Lanka and others attended the ceremony.”
