He was addressing a gathering after inaugurating the golden jubilee version of the India Carpet Expo, being organised from October 4 to 7 on the Carpet Expo Mart in Sant Ravidas Nagar, Bhadohi, on Sunday.

Sant Ravidas Nagar alone has 2,500 MSME models, with an annual turnover of ₹10,000 crore. This business has supplied direct employment to greater than 5 lakh individuals.”

He stated 90% of the carpets manufactured within the district are exported to varied international locations, together with the US, Germany, Australia, Canada and the UK. Bhadohi’s handmade carpets have additionally obtained a GI tag. He visited the stalls and considered the merchandise of artisans and craftspeople.
