The Nationwide Constructing Analysis Organisation (NBRO) has introduced an additional extension of the landslide early warnings issued as a result of prevailing moist climate situations.
Accordingly, the warnings will stay in impact till 4.00 pm tomorrow (24).
Beneath Degree 2 warnings, folks have been suggested to stay vigilant within the following Divisional Secretariat divisions:
- Ratnapura District: Elapatha, Kuruwita and Ratnapura.
- Kegalle District: Mawanella, Deraniyagala, Ruwanwella, Dehiowita and Aranayake.
- Nuwara Eliya District: Ambagamuwa and Norwood.
The NBRO has issued Degree 1 warnings, advising folks to stay vigilant within the following areas:
Ratnapura District: Ayagama, Eheliyagoda, Weligepola, Kalawana, Imbulpe, Nivithigala, Kolonna, Balangoda, Godakawela, Kahawatta, Opanayaka and Pelmadulla.
Badulla District: Haputale, Haldummulla, Passara, Hali-Ela and Uva Paranagama.
Colombo District: Padukka and Seethawaka.
Kalutara District: Horana and Matugama.
Kandy District: Yatinuwara, Udunuwara, Ududumbara, Deltota, Doluwa, Minipe, Udapalatha, Kundasale and Medadumbara.
Kegalle District: Bulathkohupitiya, Yatiyanthota and Warakapola.
Kurunegala District: Mawathagama, Ibbagamuwa, Ridigama and Ganewatta.
Monaragala District: Medagama.
Nuwara Eliya District: Mathurata, Walapane, Hanguranketha, Nildandahinna, Kothmale East and Kothmale West.
