KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 9 (Bernama) — Malaysia has strongly condemned the forcible entry by Israeli forces into the premises of the United Nations Aid and Works Company for Palestine Refugees within the Close to East (UNRWA) in Occupied East Jerusalem on Dec 8.

The Overseas Ministry, extensively often called Wisma Putra, mentioned this embody the illegal seizure of United Nations’ (UN) property and the removing of the UN flag.

“Israel’s motion is a blatant violation of worldwide regulation, together with the UN Constitution, the 1946 UN Conference on Privileges and Immunities, and related UN resolutions associated to the safety of UN personnel and humanitarian operations, as reaffirmed by the Advisory Opinion of the Worldwide Court docket of Justice of Oct 22, 2025,” the ministry mentioned in an announcement Tuesday.

Wisma Putra mentioned the UNRWA stays an indispensable lifeline for hundreds of thousands within the Occupied Palestinian Territory and Palestinian refugees, and Malaysia considers any try to impede, delegitimise, or dismantle its operations as legally indefensible and morally unacceptable.

Since its institution, the UNRWA has served over 5.9 million Palestinian refugees throughout the Center East by offering crucial providers in schooling, healthcare, and humanitarian help, significantly amid escalating hostilities.

“Malaysia calls on the worldwide group to carry Israel accountable for its persistent violations of worldwide regulation,” the ministry added.

On Monday, Anadolu Ajansi (AA) reported that Israeli police has stormed the sealed headquarters of the UNRWA within the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood of occupied East Jerusalem.

The Jerusalem Governorate, affiliated with the Palestinian Authority, mentioned police forces raided the headquarters, detained safety guards, and confiscated their telephones.
