The Nationwide Constructing Analysis Group has prolonged the landslide warning beforehand issued for a number of areas of Sri Lanka.
The group acknowledged that the warning will stay in impact from 8:00 AM immediately (December 19) till 8:00 AM tomorrow (December 20).
Accordingly, a Degree 3 (Crimson) pre-landslide warning has been issued for the Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.
Moreover, Degree 2 warnings have been issued for the Badulla, Kurunegala, and Matale districts.
The group emphasised that residents within the affected areas ought to stay further vigilant.
