G.Ok.A. Chaminda Kumara Kularatne
Senior Lawyer G.Ok.A. Chaminda Kumara Kularatne, Chief of Workers and Deputy Secretary Normal of the Parliament of Sri Lanka, has been suspended from obligation with impact from yesterday (January 23).
This choice was taken in reference to a problem arising from his appointment. He had assumed duties on this place on September 15, 2023.
Former Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana introduced Mr. Kularatne’s appointment to the Parliament of Sri Lanka firstly of the parliamentary session on September 19, 2023, with impact from September 15, 2023.
Chaminda Kularatne is an alumnus of Rajasinghe Central Faculty in Ruwanwella and a legislation graduate of the Open College of Sri Lanka. He additionally holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Enterprise Administration from the College of Colombo and Buckinghamshire New College in the UK. He has been a member of the Bar Affiliation of Sri Lanka (BASL) since 2005 and has served on the Bar Council since 2016.
Over his greater than 20-year skilled profession, Senior Lawyer Kularatne has held a number of executive-level administrative positions in authorities, together with Secretary to the Chief Authorities Whip in Parliament, Extra Secretary to the President, Extra Secretary to the Prime Minister, Extra Secretary to the Chief of the Opposition, Minister Counsellor on the Excessive Fee of Sri Lanka in London, Senior Assistant Secretary to the President, Assistant Secretary to the President, and different executive-level positions in public service.
He’s a senior public official with nationwide and worldwide expertise in constitutional legislation, parliamentary affairs and proceedings, public administration, and monetary laws.
