Maybank’s digital banking companies skilled a short lived disruption earlier right this moment, with customers reporting points accessing each its internet platform and the MAE cellular app at round 6PM on 28 February 2026. The outage seems to have been resolved on the time of writing.

Throughout the disruption, customers took to social media to focus on difficulties finishing transactions, notably involving MAE’s QR Pay function. The timing of the disruption induced further inconvenience, as many affected customers had been making an attempt to make purchases at Ramadan bazaars through the night peak. With QR funds extensively utilized in such settings, the outage left some unable to finish their transactions.

In response to queries on social media, Maybank acknowledged that its switch companies had been experiencing a short lived disruption and stated that efforts had been underway to revive them as quickly as potential. To nobody’s shock, the financial institution didn’t challenge an official assertion or discover relating to the incident on its principal communication channels.

Whereas normal entry to the MAE app and Maybank’s on-line companies seems to have been restored, some customers proceed to report points with QR Pay performance and sure companies. That stated, the amount of complaints has since tapered off on the time of writing, suggesting that companies are regularly stabilising.
