SINGAPORE: In a joint assertion on Monday (March 9), the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and the Ministry of Overseas Affairs (MFA) stated that Republic of Singapore Air Power (RSAF) plane can be deployed on March 10 (Tuesday) and 12 (Thursday) to evacuate Singaporeans within the area who want to come residence.

The flights will depart from Saudi Arabia.

“In response to the pressing want of Singaporeans in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia for assisted departure to Singapore, and given the shortage of possible industrial choices within the area, the Singapore Authorities will deploy a Republic of Singapore Air Power A330 Multi-Function Tanker Transport (MRTT) plane for the assisted departure of Singaporeans from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on 10 March 2026,” the assertion stated, including that the deployment of the plane is being achieved solely to help the assisted departure operations.
