Former Minister Susantha Punchinilame has did not pay lease, water payments, and electrical energy payments for the official residence he occupied since 2008, Deputy Minister of Overseas Affairs and Overseas Employment – Arun Hemachandra revealed in Parliament yesterday (Aug. 04).
Hemachandra mentioned Punchinilame had moved from the Ratnapura District to the Trincomalee District in 2008 for political actions, representing the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP).
He mentioned that Punchinilame has evaded fee of 1.1 million for electrical energy payments alone.
