Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar on Thursday stated the celebration had authorised Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman to play a mediatory position between the federal government and opposition amid the continued political standoff.

Talking on a personal tv programme, Dunya Mehar Bukhari Kay Sath, Akbar stated he had spoken to Maulana Fazl concerning the want for opposition events to work collectively for the supremacy of the Structure and democracy.
