Former MLA M Okay Somashekar visited the Waste Administration Plant at Vidyaranyapuram within the Metropolis on Saturday following complaints of stench emanating from the ability.

Mr. Somashekar stated the residents of Vidyaranyapuram and surrounding localities like Kanakagiri, Chamundipuram, J.P. Nagar, Nachanahallipalya, Kuvempunagar and Ashokapuram had been complaining about an insufferable stench from the ability over the previous one week.

Mr. Somashekar stated he visited the ability and sought particulars from the officers about the issue after residents made repeated phone calls to complain about the issue.

The officers have been requested for the explanation for the emergence of such a foul scent abruptly when no such downside had been reported over the previous three years.

Expressing sturdy displeasure over the functioning of the officers, Mr. Somashekar stated they’d been entrusted with the duty of scientifically managing waste and defending the setting. 

Suspecting that improper implementation of the bioculture technique throughout waste processing might be contributing to the foul scent, he urged the officers to analyze the matter instantly and determine the basis explanation for the issue.

The officers have been instructed to make sure the scientific segregation and correct processing of waste and take all needed measures to forestall foul odours from spreading to residential areas.

He has additionally urged MCC Commissioner M.Okay. Savitha to resolve the issue instantly.

Former MCC corporator M. Sunil of Vidyaranyapuram has additionally urged the authorities to handle the issue instantly. “If officers don’t deal with this difficulty scientifically, residents will face extreme hardship within the coming days. Individuals within the ward name us each day to complain in regards to the foul scent. I urge the MCC Commissioner to difficulty applicable instructions to the officers and put an finish to this downside,” he stated.
