The Karachi police on Monday arrested 4 members of an organised community concerned in leaking Matric and Intermediate Board examination papers, gathering thousands and thousands of rupees from college students in change.

The Karachi police chief had assigned the Particular Investigation Unit (SIU) the duty of tracing the community, which comprised 10 teams that leaked examination papers to college students through WhatsApp an evening earlier than the examinations.

SIU Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samiullah Soomro, chatting with The Categorical Tribune, mentioned complaints of on-line fraud had been acquired for a while. The leaked papers, he famous, had been 70% to 90% correct.

He mentioned the arrested people had initially created eight WhatsApp teams with over 1,300 college students added. Soomro mentioned police found two further WhatsApp teams throughout the investigation. He added that the police had thus far arrested the ringleaders of 4 out of the ten teams.

SSP Soomro mentioned the police suspected that some people from the Matric and Intermediate Boards may be concerned within the community, by way of whom the papers had been leaked to the suspects.

Throughout interrogation, he mentioned one suspect confessed that he had created the papers himself utilizing synthetic intelligence. The suspect claimed that he used previous papers and guess papers to generate new ones with AI, which is why the leaked papers weren’t 100% correct.

He then offered these papers to college students by way of WhatsApp teams.
