International Workplace spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi stated on Thursday that Pakistan would encourage the USA and Iran to cease violence and resume talks beneath the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) — it helped mediate final month.

“Whereas the implementation of the MoU is going through challenges, Pakistan will proceed to encourage all sides to finish violence and resume technical-level talks in accordance with the MoU,” Andrabi stated throughout a weekly press briefing in Islamabad.

Expressing deep concern over the renewed tensions between Iran and the USA, the FO spokesperson famous that Pakistan was carefully monitoring the evolving regional scenario and believes that negotiations stay the easiest way to handle disputes.

Rejecting the impression that Pakistan has stepped away from peace efforts, the spokesperson stated that Islamabad’s mediation efforts are persevering with.

“We categorical the hope for an early normalisation of the scenario within the Strait of Hormuz and underscore the significance of making certain the continued security, safety and freedom of maritime navigation,” he added.

The US and Iran signed the “Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding” on June 17, largely mediated by Pakistan. The US has this week been hanging Iran, drawing retaliatory Iranian assaults on US curiosity within the Gulf as they battle over the strategic Hormuz delivery route. ‘India sponsoring terrorism in Balochistan’

Andrabi stated that reactions from Indian media concerning the killing of Pakistani residents, together with expressions of celebration, uncovered what he described as India’s double requirements.
