Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of the Military Employees Area Marshal Asim Munir on Tuesday reassured that the Armed Forces of Pakistan stay totally ready to increase help to the civil administration and NDMA in aid, rescue and rehabilitation operations.

He made the remarks throughout his go to to the Nationwide Emergencies Operation Centre (NEOC) on the Headquarters of the Nationwide Catastrophe Administration Authority (NDMA), stated the Inter-Companies Public Relations (ISPR).

The CDF acquired a briefing on Pakistan’s catastrophe preparedness and coordinated response preparations for the continuing monsoon season on the NEOC.

CDF Munir recommended NDMA’s efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s nationwide catastrophe administration capability, it added.

The military chief emphasised readiness, efficient inter-agency coordination and swift response to safeguard lives and significant infrastructure.

The army’s media wing stated that the NDMA chairman briefed the CDF on the operational capabilities of NEOC and its technology-enabled response mechanisms, together with “Catastrophe Lens 2026,” which confirmed the prevailing monsoon state of affairs and multi-hazard monitoring mechanisms.

In a current assembly of the Emergency Response Committee (ERC), officers briefed the physique that current rains had triggered flooding in a number of areas and that coordinated response operations had been persevering with by means of federal, provincial and district authorities.

Officers warned that rainfall is predicted to proceed over northern and central components of the nation within the coming days, whereas remoted rain can be probably in components of southeastern Sindh.

The committee was informed that almost all fatalities throughout the present monsoon season resulted from the collapse of unsafe buildings and poorly constructed buildings, highlighting the necessity for stricter enforcement of constructing security requirements and higher public consciousness.
