The schedule for the election of the prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) was issued on Wednesday, with the polling scheduled to be held within the Legislative Meeting on August 27.
The AJK elections have been held in three phases between July 27 and August 10. Of the 45 instantly contested constituencies, polling was held in 38, with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) securing 25 seats and the Pakistan Individuals’s Occasion (PPP) successful 12. The lone MLA of the Awami Dast-o-Bazu social gathering joined palms with the PML-N.
